….and then a wedding went viral!

It’s always fun to see pretty wedding details pop up in your newsfeed, and as a wedding planner, that happens a ton! But when something pops up and you recognize it as your own, now that’s exciting!

When you realize it’s a viral image that has over 40,000 views, 670 likes and almost 800 shares, well that’s just cause for celebration!

Sheela + Sandeep’s Miami Beach Wedding | The Bath Club

We’re so excited to share this Miami Beach Wedding! Sheela and Sandeep currently live in San Francisco and decided to have their wedding at the historic Bath Club in Miami Beach. From the lucite Mandap to the gold sequin linens, not a detail was spared in making this traditional indian wedding a bit more modern than most. When Sheela got in touch with us, we were absolutely thrilled!  Sheela’s super creative and really got into all of the little details, which we love.
We assisted Sheela and Sandeep in coordinating and designing their Pre-Wedding Welcome Dinner the night before their wedding as well as their actual wedding day!The wedding Ceremony, Lunch, Cocktail Hour and Dinner Reception were all held at the Historic Bath Club. Sheela wanted her wedding to Sandeep to feel fresh and light. While still nodding to the bold colors of a traditional Indian wedding, we were able to capture that by working with Parrish London, who created an amazing lucite Mandap and filled it with hanging crystals and flowers. Sheela wanted the entire reception space to glow of mint, and we included mint and gold accents throughout the space. The Bath Club has amazing furniture, so we were able to use all of it during the wedding.

{What We’re Pinning}

It’s been a while, blog world!
We’re prepping for our busiest wedding season ever and can’t wait to fill your feeds with all the pretty!
Lately to unwind and remind myself that winter is not perpetual and it will in fact be sunny again someday, I’ve been doing a lot of Pinning!
I figured I should share a little of my latest “Pin-spiration” with you….

{Fashion Friday} Normcore

What IS Normcore?
It’s that model off duty look. What you would expect Cara Delevigne to wear on her way into a major shoot. It’s simplicity. It’s Adidas trainers with dresses and tight jeans and plain socks and lots of denim and neutrals and “is this the 90′s?” and dressing like Steve Jobs and the characters on Seinfeld….and why am I so in love with it? Why am I sitting here drinking coffee in black baggy crop pants, my boyfriends gray v-neck, a baggy gray hat and the comfiest flats I’ve ever owned?

Because it’s SIMPLE. and it doesn’t scream “Look at me!”, but if done right, simply forces people to want to look at you. It’s just so….normal. It lacks spanx and painfully tall heels and encourages approachability. {is that a word? let’s go with it.}

Normcore-How-To-Dress-Normcore Am I right? Simple and perfect but makes you look twice.

Fashion Friday: Romper Love

It’s officially above freezing and 36 degrees outside today which means it’s completely acceptable to start talking about spring/summer fashion.
At this current moment, I can hold my head high and admit I have one current fashion addiction: Rompers.

I’ve spent the past few weeks stocking my closet for an upcoming getaway, and yesterday I realized the only things I’ve bought so far are rompers.
Seriously. I even ordered one from Australia and I’m crossing my fingers it gets here before I leave! (they call rompers “playsuits”- why is everything they do in Australia so much cuter!?)

I figured I’d share some of my top favorites with you because seriously, there are some adorable ones out there! And considering this is promised to be a big 2014 trend, you’re going to want to jump on this bandwagon (promise!).

Modernism Week in Palm Springs

Last week, Palm Springs celebrated Modernism Week with an 11 day long affair with different events each day and night celebrating mid-century modern design and sustainable living, both of which Palm Springs is so well known for. {Which is just another reason Palm Springs is on my list for places to go this year– Bryen if you’re reading this, yes this is a hint!} Because we didn’t make it out there, I lived vicariously through instagram using #modernismweek and wanted to share my favorite snaps from some pretty talented instagrammers from around the world!
